Known for her quick wit and energetic personality, Paula McCraney lives her life with the understanding that to whom much is given much is required. She is running for a seat on the Metro Council to champion the issues that matter most to District 7 residents because she cares about our city and wants to give back to the community that has given so much to her.
Paula’s 35 years of combined professional experience in banking, human resources, public relations and government, highlights her unique qualifications to be a councilwoman. She is someone who will work effectively with the other councilmembers, the mayor and city agency heads to make our neighborhoods safer and create an economy that works for everyone in our community.
Through her experience as a public servant and president of several civic organizations, Paula learned the importance of getting input from all sides before making decisions. It’s her view that leaders who look for common ground and find ways to rally around a common goal can accomplish great things. Paula will embody that kind of collaborative leadership on the Metro Council. She is an inclusive and decisive leader who has a proven record and reputation for getting things done.
Paula earned a Master’s degree from Webster University’s School of Business and Technology in Management and Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.
